We are very pleased to present the new recommendations titled “Nutrition During Breastfeeding” (2026)This comprehensive document was developed as part of a collaboration between the Umbrella Organization of Social Insurance Providers, the Ministry of Health, and AGES under the initiative “Eat Right from the Start!” (REVAN) and offers carefully prepared, scientifically sound guidance on all aspects of nutrition during breastfeeding.

The full version provides comprehensive information on the recommended energy and nutrient intake for breastfeeding women, as well as on numerous relevant aspects of maternal nutrition. These include, among other things, the health effects of diet, the need for essential micronutrients, guidance on foods that are best avoided while breastfeeding, and information on healthy and sustainable weight loss after childbirth.
