In order to provide consistent, reliable information on nutrition throughout Austria, special continuing education courses for experts (nutritionists, dietitians, physicians, and midwives) have been offered in collaboration with the ÖGK for several years.

- Nutrition During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding (since 2010)
- Nutrition in the complementary feeding age (since 2012)
- Nutrition for Children Ages 1 to 3 (since 2014)
To be able to lead “Eat Right from the Start!” workshops as an expert, completing the above-mentioned training courses is one of the requirements. For more information or if you have any questions, visit the ÖGK website or email: revan@oegk.at
However, it has become clear that important information about nutrition is not conveyed solely through these professionals. Many other people in the lives of pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and families also play a major role—for example:
- Healthcare professions such as medical office assistants, family counselors, or dental health educators
- Employees of NGOs such as Caritas or Hilfswerk
- Organizations Focused on Family and Health
- Childcare providers
- Early childhood educators
If these individuals are well-informed, they can help ensure that accurate and quality-assured nutrition information is disseminated even more effectively.
