Im Jahr 2024 wurde die aktualisierte Leitlinie Schulbuffet veröffentlicht. Sie wurde von der AGES im Auftrag des BMASGPK umfassend aktualisiert. In dem Aktualisierungsprozess wurden zudem Expert:innen aus den Bundesländern sowie Schulbuffetbetriebe einbezogen. Anschließend wurde die Leitlinie von der Nationalen Ernährungskommission einstimmig angenommen und verabschiedet.
The guideline contains recommendations for the product groups offered at the school buffet as well as for drinks and snack vending machines and information on the framework conditions (such as cooperation in the school). In addition, checklists are available for an initial self-assessment of the offer at the school buffet and in the vending machines.
Buffet establishments will thus find specific recommendations and implementation tips on how to organise their offer in a health-promoting way.
